Ran when stolen.

Right. This is a parts car for the honest buyer and would have been a VIN purchase for a fraud, but for the missing plate.

It’ll be fun to see how the rich older guy pissing contest that is BaT bids this up.
I like how so many of these were “updated” with black painted trim to make them look newer, likely in the 70s.

Yeah, it’s really wild how many long hood 911s & 912s were “upgraded” to Flatnoses or impact bumpers.

I’m sure they and Gullwing Motors are bidding. It will be online for sale for 39k soon.

I don’t mean to dwell on this, but the exterior mirror is a perfect example of this warped thinking. These ‘68 cars had a chrome Durant mirror that looked perfect. Why anyone would swap in a giant, black square mirror is beyond me.

Gotta look newer! I am surprised the headlight trim rings aren’t painted black as well. The slantnose, cabrio, and whale tail conversions on older cars are especially loathsome - and regrettable now that the earl ier models are so valuable.

BaT? I'm pretty sure that's beginning to stand for "Beyond affordable Transportation".

It went for $36k
